United Nations Conference on Trade and Development: Trade Imbalances and Protectionism & Promoting Sustainable Trade Practices
Description
The rise of protectionist trade policies across the world has made it very difficult for free trade to continue. These types of policies can have harmful effects throughout the global economy, and these damages are often felt among consumers. Additionally, there are emerging concerns regarding trade practices including supply chain issues, considering recent blockages and inefficiencies and the adoption of more environmentally friendly practices. During their time in committee, delegates of UNCTAD will work towards solving these issues through constructive debate and making compromises. In their pursuit of balancing domestic concerns and global ones, delegates will hopefully be able to create a fairer and more efficient global economy for all.
This is a dual-delegate committee.
