Water, Akin to Life: United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia
Description
With climate change a constant looming threat, access to safe drinking water has become a pressing concern. Beyond human rights and basic survival needs, water security is of the utmost importance for every nation to secure stability and national security. In this committee, delegates will be charged with negotiating an equitable solution for water scarcity in the Middle East, one that respects every nation’s sovereignty while ensuring that no nation is left in the dust. Solutions can range from purely diplomatic approaches to sharing existing resources, to using new and exciting technologies to provide water to those who lack access to it today.
